In the last many years, I have used my own textbook “Basics motensen Compiler Design”, which I have decided to make available online. Diamanta added it Nov 06, However, there are a number of topics in this book which I think the author elaborates on insufficiently. Not my favorite computer science textbook.

VW rated it really liked it Nov 12, Maintaining a balance between a theoretical and practical approach to this important subject, Basics of Compiler Design serves as an introduction to compiler writing for undergraduate students. After studying this self-contained textbook, students should understand the compilation process, be able to write a simple real compiler, and easily follow advanced books on the subject.
There was a great deal of mathematical notation and equations, presented with very little explanation; I’d characterize this book as a ‘math-out’. Thanks for telling us about the problem.
